A gas strut bonnet kit for the Volkswagen Amarok NF (2023-Current), replacing the prop rod with struts that lift and hold the bonnet on their own. On the way down the struts take over the last 75mm and pull the bonnet into the closed position.

No. Pirate Camp Co state the kit will not fit a vehicle that has an ARB dual battery system installed. Worth knowing before you order if your Amarok already has one in the engine bay.

Will the Ranger kit fit my Amarok?

No. The Amarok NF shares a platform with the Next Gen Ranger, but Pirate Camp Co make a separate kit for the Ford Ranger and Everest Next Gen. Order that version if you have a Ranger or an Everest.

What is in the kit?

Two gas struts, four mounting brackets and all required fasteners. The brackets are 304 grade stainless steel, powder coated in texture matt black.

Anything to watch during fitting?

Have someone hold the bonnet or prop it properly while the first bracket goes on. The struts arrive under pressure and will push the bonnet up as soon as the second end clips in, so keep your head and hands clear as you finish.
