Description, fitment and specifications
The larger of VIKOR's two pod filters, with an 89mm (3.5 inch) inlet. Four layers of oil-treated cotton gauze, supplied pre-oiled and ready to fit, washable and reusable, in black or red. Made for the Next Gen Ford Ranger Raptor (2022-Current), and VIKOR list it as a drop-in replacement for their own Performance Airbox.
What vehicles does this fit?
| Make | Model | Variant | Years | Fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ford | Next Gen Ranger Raptor (P703) | Raptor | 2022-Current | Direct fit |
| Ford | Next Gen Ranger (P703) | All non-Raptor variants | 2022-Current | Does not fit |
| Ford | Next Gen Everest (U704) | All | 2022-Current | Does not fit |
It does not suit a 76mm pipe. Most factory 4x4 intake snouts are closer to 76mm, so check what you have before ordering and buy the 3 inch version if that is the case. A filter that does not seal on the pipe lets unfiltered air straight into the engine.

This is the size you want once you have gone beyond standard turbo boost or fitted a larger intake pipe. More media area means the air has more surface to pass through, so restriction drops at the same airflow. A filter on its own will not make power though. It needs a sealed box pulling cold air from outside the engine bay to be worth anything.

Frequently asked questions
Should I buy the 3.5 inch or the 3 inch?
Measure the outside diameter of the pipe the filter clamps onto. 89mm takes this one, 76mm takes the 3 inch. Most factory intake snouts are closer to 76mm, so the 3.5 inch is usually the choice for a custom airbox or an aftermarket intake pipe.
Does it need oiling before I fit it?
No. It arrives pre-oiled and ready to install. After that VIKOR quote cleaning and re-oiling on average every 5 years or 120,000km under normal highway use, which will come around sooner if you spend your time on dirt. Re-oil it every time you wash it, because dry cotton gauze does not filter properly.
What does the larger size actually do?
More filter media means the air has more surface area to pass through, so restriction drops at the same airflow. That matters once you are moving more air than standard, through raised boost or a larger intake. On an otherwise standard engine you will not notice the difference.
Will it make power on its own?
No. Sitting exposed under a hot bonnet it will draw hot air and do less for you than the factory airbox. The gain comes from a sealed box fed with cold air from outside the engine bay. Plan the box first and buy the filter to suit it.
