Fitting and installation

The mounting side is a socket set job. The parts that catch people out are removing dash trim without breaking clips, routing coax without pinching it, and picking up a fused ignition switched supply rather than a permanent live. If any of that is unfamiliar, an auto electrician will do it in an hour.

What's included

  • GME XRS-335C Connect Outback Pack, with the AE4707B antenna

That list is what ships. Bundle images are grouped for display and are not a parts list. Not included: wiring, fusing and switches beyond what GME supply in the pack. Contact us if you need the exact pack contents listed for your build.

Frequently asked questions

What is actually in the box?

The GME XRS-335C Connect Outback Pack, the behind dash module mount for the XRS-330 and XRS-335, the UHF handpiece mount, the dash switch cluster, the bonnet aerial mount and the switch cluster blanks. Every bracket is the Super Duty version.

Which module mount comes in it?

The behind dash mount, which suits the XRS-330 and XRS-335 chassis and sits behind the glove box. If you would rather have the module in the driver's side footwell for easier access, that mount is listed separately.

Why the XRS-335C and not a bigger radio?

GME describe it as their smallest XRS radio with a super compact chassis, which is the point when the module is going behind the glove box. The larger XRS bodies do not suit the behind dash mount.

Is this the same as the Next Gen Ranger bundle?

The radio is the same. The brackets are not. Super Duty mounting points differ from the Next Gen Ford Ranger (P703), so the two bundles carry different hardware. Order the one that names your vehicle.
