Frequently asked questions
What switches does it take?
Toyota short switches, sold separately. Pirate Camp Co list theirs as suiting 2016 Toyota HiLux switch cut outs, with latching off and on operation, blue LED illumination and a connector supplied. Rocker switches with a different body size will not sit in the cut outs.
What if I am not using every position?
Pirate Camp Co sell switch cavity blanks that fit their clusters, 32mm high by 21mm wide, so empty positions still look finished.
Does fitting require cutting the dash?
No. The panel uses the factory USB socket position and clips into the air vents below the screen, so no holes are made and the factory USB is retained.
Will this affect my factory warranty?
Fitting an accessory does not void a vehicle warranty in Australia under Australian Consumer Law. A dealer can decline a claim where the accessory or the way it was installed caused the fault, so fuse and route accessory wiring properly and keep it clear of airbag components behind the dash.
