Aluminium rather than steel is the trade this plate makes. A front plate hangs at the nose of the vehicle, ahead of the front axle, where weight has the most leverage over the front springs. Every kilogram out there shows up in ride height and ride quality, so a plate that takes the hit without the mass is worth having. Alloy also does not rust where a stone strike takes the coating off.

Frequently asked questions
Does this cover the transfer case and fuel tank?
No. This is the front plate and it is sold on its own, so the transfer case and the fuel tank are not covered by it. Contact us if you want to price further underbody protection for a PX.
Why aluminium instead of steel?
Where the weight sits. This plate hangs at the nose of the vehicle, ahead of the front axle, so every kilogram works against the front springs and against your front axle load. Aluminium takes the same hit with far less of that penalty, and it does not rust at every stone chip.
Will it fit a Ranger Next Gen?
No. VIKOR list this plate for the PX2 and PX3 only and build a separate plate for the Next Gen Ranger (P703), which launched in 2022 with a different underbody layout. Check your build plate if you are between the two.
