Pirate Camp Co developed this bracket after a car fire of their own. The vertical orientation is the whole point. It secures the extinguisher without interfering with the tie-down rail, and Pirate Camp Co state the vertical mount was designed specifically to fit tubs with roller shutters and cargo management systems.

That is what the vertical orientation is for. Pirate Camp Co state the vertical mount was designed specifically to fit tubs with roller shutters and cargo management systems. A horizontal bracket sticks out into the space a shutter wants and fouls the tie-down rail as well.
Which side of the tub does it mount?
