Ford Ranger Next-Gen (2022-Current) RollTrac Crossbar Kit - EGR
EGRTwo crossbars that bolt to the side rails of an EGR RollTrac roller cover on the Ford Ranger Next Gen (P703). It gives you a load point across the tub without giving up the shutter underneath, which is the trade-off most people hit after fitting a RollTrac. EGR rate the kit at 150kg static and 100kg dynamic.
Static is what it holds parked. Dynamic is what it holds while you are driving on it. Most rooftop tents fit inside those numbers, but check the tent's own weight before you commit rather than after.

Fitting and installation
The bars clamp onto the RollTrac side rails, so nothing is drilled into the tub and the shutter keeps working underneath. Set the bar spacing before you torque anything down, because moving them later means unloading whatever is on top first.

Not included: RollTrac roller cover, fitting, load restraints.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between static and dynamic rating?
Static is the load the bars hold while the vehicle is parked. Dynamic is the load they hold while you are driving, which is always the lower of the two because the load moves around. EGR rate this kit at 150kg static and 100kg dynamic. Work to the dynamic figure for anything that travels on the bars.
Can I put a rooftop tent on it?
Most rooftop tents sit inside the 100kg dynamic rating, and the 150kg static rating covers you and a second person sleeping in it. Check the tent's own weight and its closed footprint against the bar spacing first. A hard shell tent is usually the heavier option, so weigh yours before you order.
Will it fit an EGR hard lid or a soft tonneau?
No. This kit mounts to the RollTrac side rails and nothing else. It will not go onto a hard lid, a soft tonneau or bare tub rails, because none of those have the rail profile the clamps are cut for. If you are running a hard lid and want a load point, tell us the truck and we will point you at the right rack.
Can I still use the roller shutter with the bars fitted?
Yes, and that is the whole point of the kit. The bars sit on the side rails above the shutter rather than on the shutter itself, so it still rolls open and closed underneath. You do need to clear whatever is strapped to the bars if it hangs down over the shutter opening.
