Pirate Camp Co state this harness suits XLT and Sport variants only, and specifically not the Premium Pack or Platinum. The factory loom and connectors differ on the higher specification vehicles. Check your trim and your option packs before ordering, because this is the most common mistake on this part.
Is it really plug and play?
It uses connectors that suit the factory loom rather than requiring you to cut into it, which is what plug and play means here. There is still a 40A relay to mount, a switch to locate and the harness to route to the light bars. It removes the guesswork, not the installation.
Do I still need the grille bracket kit?
Yes, if you are mounting the lights behind the grille. The harness handles the wiring and the bracket kit handles the mounting, and they are sold separately so you can buy either on its own. The light bars themselves are not included with either part.
What switch comes with it?
A short Toyota spotlight push switch, plus an extra crimp connector for the factory wiring loom. If you would rather run the lights from a dash switch cluster, Pirate Camp Co list cluster panels for the Ranger and Everest separately, including versions for the 10 inch and 12 inch screens.
