Fitting and installation
The internal support frame goes in first, from inside the canopy, then the rack mounts to the existing points on the roof. EGR describe it as easy, no-drill installation. It is easier with two people and easier again before the canopy is loaded with a fitout.

Do I need the internal support frame?
It is included in this kit, so there is nothing extra to buy. The frame is what carries the 150kg dynamic rating, because it moves the load off the roof panel and into the canopy structure. If you are running a rooftop tent and sleeping in it, that frame is the reason to choose this kit over a bar and feet setup.
Does it fit the Ranger Raptor?
No. EGR do not list the Next Gen Raptor for this kit.
Will it fit the EGR Core canopy?
No. This kit is built around the GEN3 canopy roof and its mounting points, and the Core does not have them. Nor will it mount to a bare tub, a hard lid, a soft tonneau or a RollTrac cover. If you have a Core and want a roof load, tell us what you are carrying and we will point you at the right option.
Does it drill into the canopy roof?
No. EGR describe the installation as no-drill, using the mounting points the GEN3 canopy is already built with, so the roof panel is not punctured.
Can I fit a rooftop tent to it?
Yes. EGR rate the kit at 150kg dynamic with the support frame fitted, which covers most rooftop tents on the market. Check the tent's own weight and its mounting footprint against the rack before ordering, and remember the dynamic figure is the one that applies while you are driving.
