VIKOR state their 32mm F-150 strut top spacer gives approximately 64mm (2.5in) of front lift.
The control arms are the part people skip and regret. Lift the front on factory arms and you run out of camber and caster adjustment, so the truck tramlines, wanders under brakes and wears the inside of the front tyres. The adjustable arms give the alignment back and correct ball joint angle at the new ride height.

Do I need the control arms, or can I just fit the spacer?
You can fit a spacer on its own, and plenty of people do. What happens next is that the aligner runs out of camber and caster range, so the truck is set as close as the factory hardware allows. The symptoms are tramlining, wander under braking and inside edge tyre wear. The arms prevent all three.
Will it keep the factory ride?
Largely, yes, because the factory strut stays in the truck. A spacer lifts the assembly rather than changing the spring or the damping. That is the trade against a full coilover replacement: less money, less adjustment, and a ride that still feels like the truck you bought.
How much lift does it give?
