Naked or Loaded

Naked is the bare panel and mounting hardware. Loaded arrives with the switches, Anderson plugs and USB outlet already fitted, which is worth it if you would rather not chase Carling parts through three suppliers.

What is included

  • Rear cargo area switch panel
  • Mounting hardware
  • Switches, Anderson plugs and USB outlet on the Loaded option only

Not included on the Naked option: switches, Anderson plugs, USB outlet, cable and fusing. Wiring is on you either way.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy Naked or Loaded?

Loaded if you want to fit it and move on. Naked if you already have Carling switches on the shelf or want a specific switch legend. The price difference is roughly what the parts cost individually, so the real saving with Loaded is not chasing three separate orders and waiting on post.

Does fitting this require drilling?

The panel is cut for the Next Gen Everest cargo area and mounting hardware is supplied, so it locates in the vehicle rather than being freehand fitted. The wiring behind it is where the time goes. Run a properly fused feed back to the battery or a distribution block rather than tapping existing circuits.

Can I run a winch off it?

The panel switches control circuits, not winch motor current. A winch draws hundreds of amps and needs its own cable and solenoid. What you switch here is the control side, and the same applies to a compressor. Size cable and fusing for what each circuit actually draws.

Is this made in Australia?

Yes. Pirate Camp Co state the panel is 100 per cent Australian made and owned. The practical benefit is fitment. It was developed against a real Next Gen Everest cargo area, so it drops in rather than needing packers to sit flat.
