Frequently asked questions
Do I need this if I bought the Loaded panel?
No. The Loaded version of the Rear Cargo Area Switch Panel arrives with the switches, Anderson plugs and USB outlet already fitted. This accessory pack is for anyone who bought the Naked panel and is now fitting it out, or who needs to replace parts down the track.
Will these switches fit a generic panel?
They are standard Carling waterproof switches, but the pack is sold to suit the Pirate Camp Co Everest panel cut-outs. A generic aftermarket panel may use different aperture sizes, so measure the cut-outs you are filling before ordering.
Do I still need to do wiring?
Yes. The pack covers the switches, plugs and outlet, not the cable, fuses or relays behind them. You still need to run a properly fused feed from the battery or a distribution block to the cargo area. If that is unfamiliar territory, have an auto electrician set up the first circuit.
What do most people run off it?
Work lamps, a compressor and Anderson-fed accessories are the usual three, which is why the pack is made up the way it is. The dual USB outlet covers phones and camera batteries at camp without tying up a cigarette socket in the front of the vehicle.
