Fitting and installation
A socket set covers it. Get a second person to hold the bonnet while the first bracket goes on, or prop it properly. Gas struts arrive under pressure and will push the bonnet up as soon as the second end is clipped in, so do not stand under it while you work.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit if I have an ARB dual battery system?
No. Pirate Camp Co state the kit will not fit where an ARB dual battery system is installed. Have a look under your bonnet before you order.
What does it actually change?
The prop rod stops being part of the job. The struts hold the bonnet up on their own, and on the way down they take over the last 75mm so the bonnet is pulled into the closed position rather than dropped into it.
Will this affect my factory warranty?
Fitting an accessory does not void a vehicle warranty in Australia under Australian Consumer Law. A dealer can decline a claim where the accessory or its installation caused the fault.
