The weight argument matters more on a PX than on most utes. The factory front springs are soft to start with, and a steel replacement bar with a winch behind it will have the nose sitting low before you fit anything else. Alloy keeps that in check. Pick the No Loop if you want frontal protection and a tidy front end, the Pre-Runner if you need a hoop to mount lights on, or the Full Guard if you work in scrub and want the headlights covered.

Sensor and safety system compatibility
Higher spec PX3 Rangers run front parking sensors in the bumper, and radar cruise and AEB behind the grille. Those are the systems a replacement front bar has to work around, and they are worth settling before the bar goes on rather than after. Frontal protection is also a regulated fitment in Australia. Frequently asked questions
No Loop, Pre-Runner or Full Guard?
No Loop if you want protection and the cleanest front end. Pre-Runner if you want a hoop to bolt a light bar or aerial to. Full Guard if you work in scrub or on stations and want the headlights behind metal. Face protection is similar across all three, so the decision is really about mounting points and how much bar you want to look at.
Will it fit a PX1?
No. The PX1 ran from 2011 to 2015 with a different front bumper and grille to the PX2 facelift. This bar is cut for the PX2 and PX3 only. Check your build plate if you are between the two, because the change happened mid-2015.
Why aluminium rather than steel?
A bull bar hangs ahead of the front axle, so its weight has a bigger effect on ride height and steering than the same weight anywhere else on the vehicle. PX Rangers are soft in the nose from standard. Alloy gets you frontal protection without needing a spring upgrade to carry the bar.
Can I fit a winch?
Tell us which winch you are running and we will sort the cradle and the fairlead position with you before you order. The winch, the wiring, the isolator and the fitting are all separate from the bar.
