Weight is the reason to run alloy on an F-150. There is already a lot of mass sitting over the front axle, and a steel bar of the same size drops the nose enough to change how the truck rides and how much lift you need to correct it. Lariat owners need to delete the active front spoiler. VIKOR list this as a fitment requirement, not a preference.

Sensor and safety system compatibility
Depending on variant, an F-150 runs front parking sensors, a 360 camera, radar cruise and AEB, and those are the first thing to settle before a replacement front bar goes on. VIKOR list one fitment requirement for this bar: the active front spoiler on Lariat models has to come out. Frontal protection is a regulated fitment in Australia. I have a Lariat. What is the active front spoiler delete?
The Lariat runs a deployable aero spoiler under the front bumper. It occupies the space the bar needs, so it has to come out before the bar will fit. VIKOR list this as a requirement rather than a recommendation. Factor the removal into the install rather than discovering it on the day.
Will it fit a 2021-2024 F-150?
No. This bar is cut for the MY2024.5 facelift front end, and the pre-facelift trucks have different bumper and grille geometry. VIKOR make a separate bar for those years under part number VDBB1F150-21. Tell us your build date and we will send the right one.
How do I tell a pre-facelift truck from a facelift?
The change landed part way through 2024, which is why it is written as MY2024.5 rather than a clean model year. The grille and headlight treatment are the visible tell. If you are not certain, send us the build date off the compliance plate and we will match the bar to it.
Why aluminium rather than steel?
An F-150 already carries a lot of weight over the front axle. Hanging a steel bar ahead of it drops the nose, changes the steering feel and pushes you toward a bigger lift to correct. Aluminium gets you the frontal protection with far less of that penalty and no rust at every stone chip.
No Loop or Pre-Runner?
The Pre-Runner is the same Diablo bar with a single centre hoop added, and it comes with two spotlight mounts as standard. The hoop buys presence at the cost of a little weight and some of the view over the bonnet. That is the entire decision.
