Lifting the front of an independent suspension truck pulls the top of the wheel inward and throws camber and caster out. Factory arms have no adjustment, so the alignment shop runs out of range and you end up with a truck that tramlines, wanders under braking and chews the inside edge of the front tyres. Adjustable arms give the alignment back.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need these with a levelling kit?
If the front has gone up, yes. Even a modest levelling spacer pulls camber and caster out of the range the factory arms can correct, so the aligner sets the truck as close as the hardware allows rather than to spec. That shows up as tramlining, wander under brakes and inside edge tyre wear.
Do they fit an F-250?
No. The F-250 and F-350 Super Duty run a solid front axle, so there are no upper control arms in the front suspension to replace. These are for the independent front end on the F-150 only.
Is an alignment required?
Yes, and it is not optional. An adjustable arm does nothing until someone sets it on an alignment rack at the truck's new ride height. Book the alignment for the same day the arms go on so the truck is not driven out of spec.
Are they sold individually?
No, they come as a pair. There is no useful reason to correct alignment on one side of a truck only, and an aligner needs both sides adjustable to get the steering wheel straight and the caster even.
